Hope everyone had a very happy holiday season and new year and now we’re back and ready to hit the ground running! We’re bringing you a fresh trend spotter for the new year looking at a lovely vintage detail: mercury glass.

What is it you ask? When you see a votive candle holder, hurricane, vase, etc. with a silvered vintage glass effect, that’s mercury glass! Mercury glass accents at your wedding are the perfect touch to bring in an element¬†of vintage chic class and compliment your farm setting. We’ve seen so many creative uses of mercury glass from votive candles placed on your dinner tables and hightop cocktail hour tables, chalices filled with flowers, and even candlesticks as part of your reception decor. With a little searching, you can find some affordable online options for purchasing your mercury glass items (like here) or, there are even some great online tutorials for DIYing your own mercury glass vessels (like here). ¬†Then, the rest is up to you-whether you want to use them on their own, add a candle or flowers, or get creative in some other aspect. We think they are the perfect touch for your farm wedding and hope you find some inspiration in these ideas below:
